A lovely seaside apartment near Deauville (France) that was just begging to be renovated!

The carpet was old and dirty, the kitchen (orange!) was still in the style of the 70s, the old layout was not at all suited to functional and modern use.

The goal: to use the apartment as a comfortable second home for winter and summer.

The choices:

A solid oak parquet floor in herringbone pattern for the living room (beautiful and practical), a magnificent pale blue Cole&Son Acquario wallpaper by Fornasetti with fish motifs, a few nature paintings and objects found in local flea markets, yellow and intense blue velvet sofas for a modern seaside aesthetic.

On the walls: "Wimborne White" by Farrow&Ball, a color I often use. This very soft white reflects the sunlight of this south-facing apartment wonderfully. A light blue striped wallpaper in the bedroom (very marine) to match this fish pattern in the living room!
In the bathroom, white marbled tiles.
The kitchen, modern and functional, is all in black, wood and gold. Perfect to combine with blue.

Some wooden occasional furniture, without overloading.

Our Horizon Bleu sea blue cushion from the Papillons collection (https://catsandgreentea.fr/collections/papillons/products/horizon-bleu )

And there you have it! It's done! 😊
